What to Expect

Your

engagement session

gives us a great time to get to know each other before your wedding. Through the lens we'll see your connection as a couple.

We'll discuss location. Do you have a special place? The above session was shot in multiple locations over 4 hours. We began a couple hours before sundown and continued onto the streets after nightfall with this

wedding couple.

Best time to shoot

is not high-noon, when the sun is harsh, and avoiding weekends reduces people traffic, but we will work to accommodate your schedule.

Dog-lovers
? If you would like some photos with your dog, please bring someone who will be caring for the dog during the session (don't forget water and treats).

If you have props in mind—we're open to your ideas. We'll organize the shoot, if possible, to use the props in the beginning of the session to avoid carrying them around.

Let us know if you have a Save-the-Date deadline.

Preparing
Think about the style of your session. This couple had a 40's vintage theme, loved dancing and the streets of Redlands, California proved the ideal backdrop.

Tips for ladies
—consider visiting your hair stylist the day of the shoot.

Tips for men—avoid getting sunburned. If you are sunburned, give us a call to reschedule.

Typically one outfit, but bring a second as backup. The focus is on you—heavy jewelry distracts from your engagement ring. Avoid wild logos and crazy patterns. The subtle clip-cap of this bride and classic polka dots outfit pulled all the elements together beautifully. Many photos will be full body, so check your shoes for scuff marks, and coordinate socks.

Bring your makeup case for touch ups.

Bring bottled water.
